1. Institute Thesis Originality Verification System Review Standard:
“The originality report of the full thesis will be reviewed by the Thesis Advisor, and students may only apply for the degree examination with the Thesis Advisor’s approval. The overall originality index should be below 20%, excluding citations and references. Citations and the reference list may be excluded from the review.”
2. Requirement for Passing the Thesis Originality Verification as a Graduation Condition:
Passing the Thesis Originality Verification is a graduation requirement of the Graduate Institute. Students who intend to apply for the degree examination (i.e., thesis defense) must have their thesis checked through the university’s Thesis Originality Verification System. After the check, the student shall complete the degree examination application form, obtain the signature of the thesis Thesis Advisor, complete the preliminary review by the department, and obtain the department head’s approval. The application shall then be submitted to the Academic Affairs Office for final review and approval before the student is allowed to take the degree examination.
3. System Access and User Guide:
For application of system access and the user guide for the Thesis Originality Verification System, please refer to the attached document. The originality review results (see page 14 of the user guide PDF) must be printed and signed by the thesis Thesis Advisor.
