1. Principles for the Appointment of Part-time Assistants

  • In accordance with University regulations, the Graduate Institute of Labor Research primarily appoints research assistants and provides stipends in order to:
    • encourage students to complete their master’s theses in a timely manner,
    • promote student participation in academic activities,
    • support student involvement in research, and
    • encourage the publication of research成果.
  • Full-time faculty members of the Institute determine their own recruitment plans and quotas. An additional position is provided to assist with editorial work for the NCCU Journal of Labor Studies.
  • Administrative affairs of the Institute are mainly supported by part-time assistants employed under labor-based contracts. For specific activities—such as admissions examinations, alumni events, and large-scale events—temporary assistants may be hired on a daily wage basis, with salary and labor insurance handled accordingly.
  • Note: Recruitment plans and quotas for research assistants are determined by individual faculty members. Faculty members should explain relevant regulations to prospective student assistants in advance, and appointments shall be made upon mutual agreement.

    • Upon completion of the program, the Research Assistant Performance Evaluation Form (Form 4) must be submitted to the Institute Office by January 31, 2023.
  • Stipend disbursement:
